Nobody grows up thinking they want to be in insurance, but life had other plans.

In 2013, while working behind the scenes wiring desks and setting up servers in insurance call centers, I found myself unexpectedly drawn into this world. I started as a policy verification rep, soaking up everything I could about how it all worked. From technology and lead flow to operations and most importantly, clients.

By 2016, I moved into sales, and something clicked. I won Rookie of the Year at my former company and built a team of 20 agents. It was fast-paced and intense, but it gave me something I hadn’t had in a long time: structure, stability, and the freedom to bet on myself.

I’ve always had that caretaker wiring. I’m the person people call when they’re overwhelmed and need someone to calmly talk them through it. This business gave me a way to do that every day, for individuals, families, and small business owners across the country.

I was fortunate to learn from two people who truly shaped my career, Liz and Hiawatha. They didn’t just teach me how to sell; they taught me how to serve. They modeled what it means to lead with compassion and clarity, to speak truthfully, and to always do right by people, even when no one’s watching.

For six years, I poured everything into that role. But like a lot of things in life, the company began to change, and it stopped aligning with the way I wanted to serve people. I knew it was time to build something different. Something better.

I built SWI Protects because I saw what this industry could be, and I got tired of watching it fail the very people it was meant to help. There are too many agents who disappear after enrollment, too many call centers pushing plans that don’t fit, and too many people walking away more confused than when they started.

That’s not how I do things. Here, it’s personal.

I live in Longwood, Florida with my husband Billy, our son, and our Frenchie named Whiskey. I work from home, surrounded by toddler art, to-do lists, AI dashboards, and about five beverage cups at any given time.

I’ve rebuilt my life from scratch more than once. I’ve lost everything, started over, and found my way forward through grit, belief, and one decision at a time. SWI Protects reflects that journey, honest, resilient, no fluff.

I’m not here to play small. I’m here to protect people the right way. That’s all I’ve ever wanted.
